Version 1.2 and Gas Flask Mechanics


Changes from Version 1.2:

The new Gas Flasks

Minor spoilers ahead. Do not read this section if you want to discover the new gas flask mechanics yourself.

This update introduces mechanically new items to the game: the gas flasks will emit a poisonous gas for almost a minute when they are breached due to being shot or thrown. Even when empty they can also be used to knock people out.

Is it best to place them ahead of time, then shoot them for a sniper-poison kill? Throw them between some guards that are not looking? That is now for you to figure out, just make sure to not inhale too much of the gas yourself! A trained agent like 47 might be able to resist emetic gas for a while, but even he should be really careful with the toxic stuff.

Instead of walking away or dealing with caution, you might also find ways to protect yourself: some levels might give you opportunities that lead to interesting synergies. Still, people will always get suspicious if a civilian walks around with a bottle clearly labeled as toxic. Lucky for you, all flasks somehow fit in suitcases. Don't ask me how, though!
